Looking Back

 

During the course of this semester, I have done a fascinating group project. During that time many things happened, there were many ups and down and we all were faced with many obstacles that we had to fight through.

At the beginning of this journey, I was very excited to do the project in a group of four people. But there was a problem, one of the members has never showed up so we were down by one person, yet still we proceeded in doing the project.

It was an amazing experience and the people that I worked with were amazing teammates. I have learned a lot from this experience. For example, I have improved my editing skills vastly and thanks to my teammates I gained enough courage to make my own script for my part and to work in my own way. I even faced through with recording myself since I hate hearing my own voice when recorded.

Obviously, it wasn’t an amazing video, I even messed up one thing in my part while editing. Honestly, I still don’t know how I messed it up, especially since I watched the video a couple times before sending it on but it’s ok, now I know what to look out for in the future.

I feel like the video could have been better if I practiced more on my editing skill and also if the fourth member of our group would contribute their part in the video and would actually show up.

Another problem faced by my team is that the third member was unavailable for a while and was unable to contribute their part in our project, but they had a valid reason for their absence.

In the end the project wasn’t what I imagined it to be. At first, I imagined it being more elaborate and had much more in it, but there was a time limit and I’m limited in skills. I did also need to edit my script many times before I settled for one that had enough information in it and so that it would be suited to the given time.

The video could have included more facts bur once again; time was an issue. Overall, I really enjoyed making the project and would love to work with Nell and Thomas again in the future.
