Post Production
This week I have done quite a lot to contribute to the
project. Nell told me about the editing program that she tested to make videos
called Canva. She explained to me how easy it is to use and even showed it to
me. After that I downloaded the app and practiced using it.
We both discussed that each of us will record our own audio
and do our own parts of the video. After that we will put everything together
and post it on YouTube. Sadly, Thomas was unable to join us but luckily, I was
able to contact him and explain what we’re going to do.
During the weekend I continued working out Canva and
different things that it has to offer. As Nell mentioned it actually is very
easy and fun to use. I had so much fun making the video. It took a few hours to
make the video, but it was worth it. I used images from both Pixabay and Canva
to make the background of the video.
I have placed my avatar in the bottom left corner of the video as my group and I have discussed. After I finished making the video, I had to adjust it to my script and to the speed that I was speaking. Once that was done, I saved everything and shared it with my teammates. The video at first still didn’t have the audio because I was tired and didn’t have the energy to go through the recording of my voice.
A few days later I came back to the video and put the script
beside me so that I would know what to say. The most difficult thing was the
audio recording. It took me at least twenty times before I got a good enough
audio. It wasn’t perfect but I was getting exhausted, so I saved it and added
it to the video.
I added the audio to the video and adjusted the timing so
that everything would fit in together. Now all that has to be done is the
recording of the introduction and to put everything together and post the
finished product onto YouTube.
Overall, I really enjoyed making the video even though I did
hate hearing my voice when it’s recorded.
